Hope's Art Journey

I painted this water lily as a mate to the last one.  In planning it, I rearranged and added lily pads in order to create a negative space to blend with the other painting.  I also had to consider the fact that the lily is resting directly on the pad so I had to paint the pad to set the lily off.  I used the palette knife to lay in the base colors of the lily pads but needed to come back with a brush and glazes to make them look right.  The lily was painted mostly with a brush so [...]
