This is one of my experiments with Caran Dache Crayons and Conte Pastel Pencils. Again, this is so much fun and feeds my desire to draw from time to time. First, I coated a piece of heavy printmaking paper with a watercolor ground which adds a nice texture. That allows almost any medium to be used What is so fun about the crayons is that they can be layered and then water brushed in to blend them or give a washeffect. The name is derived from the pattern of the group of palms that look like sisters who really like one another and stand tall together.
